Multiple Ohio police officers were injured in a struggle Thursday with a suspect who stole a cruiser and crashed into a home.

The incident happened shortly after 11 p.m. when a suspect took off with a Dayton police cruiser while officers were responding to a gas station crash, WHIO-TV reports. The suspect drove from the scene, and the cruiser eventually slammed into a home.

Two people and a dog were inside the house when the crash happened. The people were taken to the hospital, and they were expected to recover.

The suspect also was involved in a scuffle with police officers following the crash. Multiple officers suffered minor injuries during the confrontation. 

The suspect was taken to the hospital following the incident, but no details were released about the severity and nature of the injuries.
