Unmarked Houston Police Cruiser Struck by Road Rage Gunfire
Investigators don't believe a Houston police officer was the target when gunfire intended for another vehicle in an apparent road rage incident struck the officer's unmarked cruiser.
An unmarked Houston police cruiser was struck by gunfire in an apparent road rage incident Monday.
The police officer was traveling in southeast Houston when the shooting happened, KHOU-TV reports. At least one bullet struck the officer's cruiser.
Police don't believe that the officer was the target of the gunfire. The shooter was thought to be trying to shoot at another vehicle but missed, and the errant shot struck the officer's unit.
The officer was uninjured in the incident. No suspects have been taken into custody, and the shooting is under investigation.
