Seattle Police Department bicycle officers pursued a suspected drug dealer with a stolen through a city bus tunnel in chase the department compared to "Looney Tunes" and the 1980s movie "BMX Bandits."

Body camera footage captured a Seattle Police bicycle officer ride down stairs to pursue an armed suspected drug dealer last week.

The chase broke out Dec. 15 when officers spotted a man selling drugs near the Pioneer Square transit tunnel, the department stated in a press release. The suspect ran into the tunnel, and the officers followed, navigating their bikes down the stairway in a maneuver the department compared to the 1989 Nicole Kidman movie "BMX Bandits."

During the pursuit, the suspect dropped a stolen handgun and kept running. The officers eventually went after the suspect on foot through the bus tunnel and a back stairwell, where the chase ended.

"There, the suspect, in a move reminiscent of Looney Tunes, attempted to bamboozle the officers by taking a seat on the stairs and directing them upward. The officers were not fooled," the department stated.

The suspect was arrested and faces gun and drug charges.
