Watch Seattle Police Nab Suspects Walking Away with Stolen Cash Register

May 16, 2024
Seattle police were stopped at a pharmacy when they confronted two suspects—one of them armed with a handgun—carrying a stolen cash register as they exited a business.

Seattle police nabbed two suspects red-handed last month as they exited a business carrying a stolen cash register.

Body camera footage captured the April 28 incident as officers stopped at a pharmacy saw a 20-year-old woman with a stolen cash register walk out of a business, according to a news release by the department. A man was with the woman, and he was apprehended after he fled the scene.

During their investigation, officers seized a handgun the woman tried to conceal. The gun was not used to steal the cash register, police said.

The woman was arrested and charged with theft and unlawfully carrying a pistol. The man was charged with obstruction, and he also was arrested by King County sheriff's deputies in connection with a previous domestic violence incident.
