A fleeing suspect's vehicle landed on top of a Georgia police cruiser during a chase last week.

The pursuit happened shortly after 7:15 a.m. Friday when Sandy Springs police were helping officers from Homeland Security's Atlanta office with the capture of a suspect wanted on multiple drug offenses in Fulton County, the police department stated in a social media post Monday. Dashboard footage of the incident also was released.

When officers tried to box in the suspect, his SUV struck a concrete barrier. The vehicle's backend lifted off the ground and landed on a cruiser, damaging the windshield.

The suspect tried to flee on foot, but he was apprehended by police.

No one was injured in the incident.
