A Cincinnati police cruiser fell from a trailer and flipped repeatedly during the final moments of a multi‑county pursuit that ended in a crash and fire in Harrison Township last month.
The dramatic sequence appears in new dashcam video released as part of an ongoing review of the 90‑minute multi‑jurisdictional chase, WLWT‑TV reports. Investigators said the incident stemmed from an attempted traffic stop in Norwood.
According to police, the chase began when officers tried to arrest Iesha Harris, who was wanted on charges of felonious assault and possession of weapons while under disability. Harris allegedly fled the stop and led officers across Hamilton County and into Indiana before looping back into Ohio.
The dashcam clip, which runs just over 30 seconds, shows the white SUV hauling a flatbed trailer with the Cincinnati police cruiser strapped to it as it turns onto a road. It's unclear how the cruiser ended up on the trailer, but police said Harris struck two cruisers earlier in the pursuit.
As the pursuing officer performs a PIT maneuver, the fleeing SUV is sent spinning off the roadway and into a tree. The trailer’s impact forces the mounted cruiser to break loose, roll several times and land on its side in the middle of the street.
Police said the SUV caught fire after hitting the tree. Harris and the officer inside one of the cruisers involved in the chase were taken to a hospital following the crash, though the dashcam video ends before those rescue efforts.
