Texas Sheriff's Deputy Shot While Serving Warrant

A Comal County Sheriff's deputy was shot and wounded while attempting to serve a felony warrant Thursday morning.

SPRING BRANCH, Texas -- A Comal County Sheriff's deputy was shot while serving a warrant in Spring Branch Thursday morning.

Deputies were attempting to serve a felony warrant at a residence in the 1400 block of Springwood when one of the deputies was shot and wounded, according to a news release.

The deputy was flown to University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect was apprehended and taken into custody.

The incident is currently under investigation.
