POLK COUNTY, Florida -- A Central Florida man was arrested after deputies said he was found armed on a construction site in Polk County while wearing women’s undergarments and concealing a firearm.
Matthew Zaccarino, 39, of Altamonte Springs, was taken into custody after Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies encountered him near a vehicle at the intersection of Ernie Caldwell Boulevard and Grandview Parkway, according to WESH-TV.
Deputies said Zaccarino was alone at the site and standing near the passenger-side door of a vehicle when they approached him. Investigators reported that Zaccarino began putting on a red lace bra and a G-string as deputies made contact.
Deputies ordered him to stop moving, but Zaccarino removed the undergarments instead, according to the report. During the encounter, deputies discovered a firearm concealed beneath one of two silicone breast implants Zaccarino was carrying, investigators said.
According to the arrest report, Zaccarino then reached inside the vehicle, prompting deputies to handcuff him and take him into custody without further incident.
Zaccarino told deputies he was on his way to a costume party but refused to provide an address or location when asked, according to investigators.
He was charged with trespassing while armed with a firearm, loitering and prowling, and resisting arrest without violence. Jail records did not immediately indicate whether he had retained an attorney.
“A lace bra, a G-string and a hidden gun. Folks, you cannot make this up,” Sheriff Grady Judd said.
