A suspect in an attempted carjacking was arrested after a Maryland police officers chased him through a grocery store and used a drone to track him down last week.

The incident happened shortly after 9 a.m. Thursday when Laurel police responded to a report of a man, later identified as Alex Skinner Abramson, who stole car keys from a woman and tried to carjack her vehicle, according to a department social media post. Abramson fled the scene on foot, and officers quickly pursued him through an Aldi grocery store.

When Abramson exited the store, a drone followed him and helped officers locate him as he hid in thick vegetation. The pursuit was captured by an officer's body camera and the drone's camera.
