Watch Calif. Police Drone Track Down Robbery Suspect

When Irvine police officers found the car of a suspect wanted on a robbery warrant, they deployed an unmanned aerial drone to locate the man in the surrounding neighborhood.
A California police drone helped hunt down a suspect on a robbery warrant earlier this month.
The incident happened Sept. 1 when Irvine police spotted the suspect's vehicle but couldn't find the suspect, KTLA-TV reports. Officers deployed an unmanned aerial drone to see if it could locate the suspect.
Flying around the neighborhood, the drone was eventually able to track down the suspect, following him until officers could reach his location. The suspect tried to flee when he was confronted by officers, jumping walls and running through yards.
Finally, the suspect was taken into custody after surrendering to officers.
