MARYLAND HEIGHTS, Missouri -- The St. Louis County Police Department has released video of an officer-involved shooting in Maryland Heights from November that resulted in the death of an adult male.
The shooting occurred at approximately 6 p.m. on Nov. 30, 2025, at the Walgreens in the 12500 block of Dorsett Road, according to a news release.
Officers with the Maryland Heights Police Department responded to a call for service and encountered a male armed with a firearm, according to police. Authorities said the male fired at officers, and one officer returned fire, striking the suspect.
The male was pronounced dead at the scene. No officers were injured during the incident.
The St. Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons was notified and assumed responsibility for the investigation, which is standard procedure in officer-involved shootings in the county.
The officer who fired the weapon is 30 years old and has served with the Maryland Heights Police Department for approximately two and a half years. Police said the officer also has prior law enforcement experience.
