Denver Police Officer Suffers Serious Bodily Injuries in 3-Vehicle Crash

A Denver police officer was among two people seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash Thursday.

The incident happened just before 2:30 p.m. in Arvada, and it shut down northbound lanes along one of the roads and cut traffic to a single southbound lane, KDVR-TV reports. Three vehicles were involved in the crash, including a Denver police cruiser.

The officer in the cruiser suffered serious bodily injuries from the crash, and her cruiser sustained extensive damage. It was unclear if the officer was on duty at the time of the incident.

Arvada police are investigating the crash.
