Two Pennsylvania State Police troopers were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after their patrol vehicle was struck by a tractor-trailer while they were on the scene of another collision on I-80 in Luzerne County, according to WBRE/WYOU.

The incident occurred around 3 a.m. on Saturday morning, Nov. 12 on the eastbound side of the highway while troopers were investigating another crash, according to WBRE/WYOU, citing state police.

Both troopers were inside their vehicle when it was hit by a passing tractor-trailer, according to WBRE/WYOU; images published by the station show the back half of the patrol car crushed.
