The Safariland Training Group announces that their fall Conference will take place September 19-22, 2017 in Homestead, Fla. Twenty-two classes in all are being offered during this four-day event, providing law enforcement officers with critical insights on best practices for self-protection and how to be prepared for any type of conflict in the field. This hands-on, interactive teaching style is instrumental in preparing officers for real-world incidents and is led by a team of highly experienced instructors who are current and former law enforcement officers

“Our courses incorporate the best-of-the-best, integrating the finest curriculums in the world from the Monadnock International Instructor Seminar and the Defense Technology Less Lethal Instructor Program,” said Sandy Wall, director, The Safariland Training Group. “We combine legacy programs with the latest in cutting-edge training courses, resulting in unmatched law enforcement industry training.”

The Safariland Training Group courses rely heavily on practical applications intended for all levels of law enforcement officers seeking training on how-to-use a variety of weapons for self-defense. The courses range from one-day to four-day options, including:

  • Four-day ICP Instructor Course, which includes OC aerosol, less lethal impact and chemical and Distraction Device training.
  • Three-day Crowd Management and Mobile Field Force Instructor Course featuring a variety of small- to large-scale riots, meeting the needs of agencies that are tasked with crowd control ranging from an orderly protest to large-scale riot.
  • Two-day Monadnock Expandable Baton (MEB), MDTS and PR-24 instructor-level courses show officers how to use their hands, elbows, knees and feet for protection against an attack, and useful skills in all three zones of defense.
