Woman Goes on 'Biting Rampage' Against Multiple Ala. Police Officers

While she was being taken into custody by Dothan police, a disorderly 21-year-old woman bit three officers and spit in the face of another.

A young Dothan woman is under arrest after authorities say she went on a “biting rampage’' against multiple police officers.

Devaundria Glanton, 21, is charged with three counts of second-degree assault.

Dothan police responded Friday to the 2200 block of Westgate Parkway to investigate an undisclosed complain that had been lodged by a citizen.

Officers made contact with Glanton at the residence. They noticed she had three small children in the home with her at the time.

Officers resolved the initial issue with Glanton. They were still in the area, however, when they noticed Glanton leave her home without her children.

Officers made contact with Glanton again to address the fact her children were left unattended. At that point, police said, Glanton became disorderly and non-compliant.

Police summoned DHR to the scene. When social workers arrived, Glanton became more agitated.

“Officers attempted to take Glanton into custody and she began to go on a rampage,’’ according to a press release. “While taking Glanton into custody, she managed to bite three different officers, and spit in the face of one officer.”

Glanton is being held without bond.
