A woman accused in a road rage incident last month bit and violently struggled with a Florida police officer trying to detain her.

The incident happened Feb. 23 when Orlando police responded to reports of a battery-related driving dispute, the department stated in a social media post, which included video footage of the encounter. According to WOFL-TV, a driver—later identified as Mandolyn Shaffer-Brockwell—allegedly kept slowing down and braking in front of a pregnant woman driving with a child in her vehicle.

Shaffer-Brockwell became agitated when the pregnant woman honked at and tried to change lanes. Video footage captured Shaffer-Brockwell exiting her car and jumping on the pregnant woman's hood.

The confrontation escalated when Shaffer-Brockwell opened a car door and began punching the pregnant woman in the face. A 68-year-old woman tried to intervene, but Shaffer-Brockwell stuck and scratched her face, WFOL reports.

According to police, that woman gave officers a description of the suspect and her vehicle. Shaffer-Brockwell was quickly located, but when an officer tried to detain her, she "violently resisted, and bit the officer while trying to avoid being handcuffed," the department stated.

The officer's body camera footage captured the violent clash.

Shaffer-Brockwell was arrested, and she faces multiple charges, including aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer with violence.
