As deputies walked inside, the suspect, identified as Darron Dunn, used a makeshift flamethrower to send a stream of fire about 15 feet at a deputy. No one was injured, but deputies discovered that Dunn had an apparent improvised explosive device hooked up to a car battery and cleared out of the apartment.  

The Tactical Team and Bomb Squad from the sheriff's office was called in to dispose of the device. Dunn was taken into custody and charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon, possession of an incendiary device or explosives and obstructing an officer.
