Video: Dallas Police Attacker's Van Disabled

Dallas County Sheriff's Deputy Katrina Caldwell deployed stop sticks to disable James Boulware's armored van.

Newly released dashcam video shows a Dallas County, Texas Sheriff's deputy bringing to an end a pursuit involving a man who had attacked the Dallas Police headquarters.

Deputy Katrina Caldwell was on Interstate 20 when she heard about the pursuit and drove around traffic to get ahead of the armored van James Boulware was driving, according to The Dallas Morning News.

Boulware fired more than 40 bullets into the police headquarters before fleeing early Saturday morning.

Caldwell parked her cruiser, got out and deployed stop sticks to disable the suspect's van.

"I got him!" she is heard saying on the video. She then reports to dispatch: "I just spiked the suspect."

She then joined the pursuit to the parking lot of a Jack in the Box, where Boulware was later shot and killed by law enforcement officers.
