Video: Texas Officer Shot During Sam's Club Shootout After Chase

The pursuit continued through Alvarado and north on Interstate 35W before ending at Sam’s Club in Burleson, at 600 N. Burleson Blvd. near Texas 174, police said.
Police said shots were fired during the incident and the suspect, who has not been identified, was struck and died at the scene.
The officer with the Cleburne Police Department was shot in the leg and was taken to a Fort Worth hospital in stable condition, police said.
Two Johnson County sheriff’s deputies also were involved in the incident, according to the sheriff’s office.
Burleson police officers and EMS assisted on the scene but were not involved in the shooting, a Burleson police spokesperson said in a statement.
There is no known threat to the community at this time; however, the public was asked to avoid the area while law enforcement conducts its investigation, officials said.
As per department protocol, the Texas Rangers will be investigating the shooting, according to the Cleburne Police Department.
