A Nebraska police officer shot and wounded a woman as he was being dragged by her vehicle Sunday.
The shooting happened as a Neligh police officer was responding to reports of a road rage incident, The Associated Press reports. According to the Nebraska State Patrol, which is investigating the shooting, the incident had led to a disturbance in a convenience store parking lot.
When the officer reached the scene, he stopped one of the vehicles. As he made contact with the driver, she drove off, dragging the officer.
The officer was able to reach is gun and fire at the woman. The driver was struck by the gunfire before the officer fell from the vehicle.
