The New York Rangers honored the NYPD officers who cleared school children off city streets during the deadly U-Haul rampage in Brooklyn earlier this month.

Officers Hector Santini and Frank Ingebrethsen were recognized for their heroism and gifted Rangers jerseys with their names on them during Sunday’s game at Madison Square Garden, where the home team won against the Los Angeles Kings, 2-5.

The duo raced to roads closed for students to play during recess, quickly directing those in potential danger to get inside as Weng Sor, 62, killed one and injured eight others on Feb. 13.

  • In harrowing body camera footage previously released by police, one of the officers is seen pulling up to a closed road dashing down the street.

“Let’s go, let’s go, let’s go!” he was heard shouting as kids ran ahead him. “Guys, get off the street! Let’s go, off the street!”

Santini joined the police department in 2008 and Ingebrethsen, in 2011, according to NYPD records.

Sor’s victims included single dad YiJie Ye, 44, who did not survive the attack. He also injured a pedestrian, a police office and people on bikes, mopeds and an e-bike.

The Las Vegas man told police he’d spotted “an invisible object” heading toward the U-Haul before he went on the deadly ride that began in Sunset Park and spanned Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights.

Sor was charged with murder and multiple counts of attempted murder in the attack.
