A body camera captured the moment an SUV intentionally slammed into an Ohio police officer's cruiser earlier this month.

Norton Police Officer Ryan Connell pulled a car over around 3:30 a.m. on Dec. 10 on I-76 West and was filling out paperwork after he arrested the driver on a drug charge when the incident occured, according to WJW-TV.

Officer Joshua Pond captured the crash and the aftermath with his body camera.

Connell and the man in the back of his cruiser sustained only minor injuries and were transported to the hospital, treated and released.

"These officers are out there everyday trying to keep the citizens safe, doing traffic enforcement on an interstate," Norton Police Chief John Dalessandro told the news station. "Then something like this happens intentionally; it's scary."

The driver of the SUV, 30-year-old Sara Everhart, of Canton, was taken to the hospital and is facing vandalism and criminal damaging charges.
