Fiery Sarasota motel rescue caught on video

Flames can be seen burning through part of the roof as officers move from room to room. At one point in the video, a man carefully steps out of a doorway while the roof above him is on fire. The video also shows officers attempting to force entry to doors during the evacuation as a firetruck arrives.

According to the Sarasota County Fire Department, the fire appeared to have started in one of the single-story building’s seven units before spreading into the attic.

One person was brought to Sarasota Memorial Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
