Body camera footage captured a Maryland police officer nabbing a suspect in the middle of breaking into and burglarizing a nail salon last month.

The incident happened just before 1:50 a.m. Nov. 21 when a Howard County police officer was on patrol in Jessup, according to the video footage released by the department Wednesday. While doing a check of businesses, the officer noticed broken glass outside a nail salon.

While investigating the scene, the officer spotted a 45-year-old allegedly going through the salon's cash register.

"Hey, show me your hands! Now!" the officer is heard telling the suspect, ordering him to get on the floor and surrender.

The officer took the suspect into custody without incident. The man faces burglary charges, according to the department.
