When Tampa police responded to a vehicle that had flipped on its side and caught fire, officers quickly shattered the windshield and pulled the trapped driver to safety.
Tampa police officers rescued a trapped driver from a burning overturned vehicle by breaking the windshield and pulling her to safety.
The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. Sunday, and body camera footage captured the officers’ rapid response.
The driver and two officers suffered minor injuries in the incident.

The save happened shortly before 4:30 a.m. when Tampa police responded to a report of a vehicle that had flipped on its side and caught fire, the department stated on social media in a post that shared body camera footage of the incident. The officers jumped into action and shattered the vehicle's windshield, pulling the driver to safety.
In the social media post, the department praised the officer's "quick and courageous actions" to rescue the trapped woman.
"The driver and two of our officers suffered minor injuries, but fortunately, the only loss that night was a vehicle," the department added.
