A shootout erupted between Tennessee police and a suspect following a chase Tuesday.
The incident happened as Nashville police officers were trying to pull over an SUV under investigation for drug activity in Davidson County, WKRN-TV reports. The driver refused to stop, and a chase ensued.
After the SUV crashed during the pursuit, officers approached the vehicle and were greeted by gunfire from the driver, who was still inside. A frantic shootout began as police returned fire.
Even though the suspect emptied an entire handgun magazine, no one was injured in the exchange. The back windshield of a police unit, however, was riddled with bullet holes.
The suspect, who was wanted on over a dozen outstanding warrants was taken into custody.
