A man who was threatening people with a gun was fatally shot by Phoenix police earlier this month in a shooting that was captured by body cameras.
The incident happened Nov. 2 when police responded to a strip mall where a man armed with a handgun had entered a store and began arguing with a motorcyclist, KPHO-TV reports. The man exited the store and was spotted by a police helicopter as he opened fire.
“He’s shooting at people in front of the store,” an officer is heard saying on the radio.
Once three officers reached the man, they began shooting and fatally wounded the suspect. An officer is then seen firing a less-lethal round at the man, who doesn't respond.
No officers were injured in the incident. The shooting is under internal investigation.
