Bodycam: Atlanta Police Nab Felon with Gun after Foot Chase

Newly released body camera footage shows Atlanta police nabbing a convicted felon wanted on a warrant and carrying a gun.

The incident happened at about 7:45 p.m. April 7 after an officer saw a suspect wanted on an active arrest warrant, WXIA-TV reports. When the officer approached the man about the warrant, the suspect fled on foot.

The officer pursued the man and eventually caught up with him. Once in custody, it was discovered that the suspect had a loaded handgun with a defaced serial number inside a bag. 

The man was wanted on outstanding warrants for probation violation and aggravated assault. He was arrested and charged for possession of a firearm by a felon, criminal use of an altered item and obstruction of law enforcement.
