Colorado police had to deal with a rowdy guest when they responded to a report of a bear trashing a hotel lobby earlier this week.

Breckenridge police officers arrived at the Grand Timber Lodge just after 4 a.m. Monday to find a bear that had gotten into the hotel, the department stated in a social media post that included body camera footage of the encounter. The bear had entered the hotel through the hotel's automatic front doors and became confined in the front office area, an officer told Summit Daily. 

While inside, the bear apparently got a hankering for some sweets and broke into a snack storage room.

"Luckily only some M&M’s were taken," the department stated.

In the body camera footage, officers can be seen trying to get the bear to check out of the hotel, pointing bright lights at the animal and using a Taser to create an electrical sparking sound.

Finally, the bear exited the hotel and sauntered "back into the wilderness," according to the department. No one was injured in the incident.

It's unclear if the bear was satisfied with his brief stay at the hotel.
