Bodycam: Calif. Police Officers Carry Partially Bedridden Woman Out of Burning Home

California police officers who were the first at the scene of a house fire last week carried a partially bedridden resident to safety as flames consumed the structure.

Westminster police responded to a fire that broke out at a home just after 9 a.m. Thursday, the department stated in a social media post that included body camera footage from the incident. When officers reached the scene, they were told that a woman who was partially bedridden was still trapped inside.

Officers located the woman in her room as flames fully engulfed the garage and began quickly spreading to the rest of the house. Body camera footage shows the officer helping a woman out of a first-story window and carrying her to safety.

Once outside, the woman and officers were treated for smoke inhalation. Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the flames.

"We are happy to say everyone was determined to have no significant injuries!" the department stated.
