LEXINGTON, Kentucky — GALLS has received three Best Dressed Public Safety Department Awards from the NAUMD for uniform programs developed in partnership with the Atlanta Police Department, the Philadelphia Police Department and the Fairfax County Sheriff's Office.
According to GALLS, the awards recognize uniform modernization efforts designed to support operational needs and agency identification requirements. The company partnered with apparel manufacturer LION/Elbeco on programs for the Atlanta and Philadelphia police departments.
The Atlanta Police Department was recognized in the Police Department category for a high-visibility uniform program developed ahead of the upcoming FIFA World Cup. According to the company, GALLS and LION/Elbeco outfitted approximately 1,800 sworn officers with updated duty shirts and trousers intended to improve officer visibility and identification in large crowds during the international event.
The Philadelphia Police Department also received recognition in the Police Department category. According to GALLS, the department transitioned from its traditional powder-blue uniform to a midnight-navy design through a program developed with LION/Elbeco. The modernization effort equips nearly 2,000 officers with darker-duty garments designed for durability and professional appearance.
The Fairfax County Sheriff's Office earned recognition in the Sheriff Department category following a uniform modernization program affecting more than 400 sworn deputies. According to GALLS, the updated system introduced a Tundra Green-and-black color palette using the Blauer FlexRS system. The program includes utility and Class B uniforms intended to support mobility and breathability across different operational settings.
