San Diego Traffic Stop Uncovers Sheriff's Uniforms, Gear

When San Diego police officers pulled over a car in the Paradise Hills neighborhood, they found duffel bags with sheriff's equipment, as well as the driver in a uniform and bulletproof vest.

A traffic stop by San Diego police uncovered uniforms and other equipment from a sheriff's office.

The discovery happened at about 1:30 a.m. when officers pulled over a Mercedes-Benz in the Paradise Hills neighborhood, KGTV-TV reports. According to police, the driver was wearing a San Diego County sheriff's uniform and a bulletproof vest.

A search of the car found more uniforms in duffel bags, as well as a radio mic and personal mail for a deputy. Officers also found drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Following the stop, the sheriff's office was alert, and it's investigating how the uniforms and equipment were stolen.
