Video: Gunmen Pose as Houston Police Officers During Home Invasion

Four armed men posing as Houston police officers broke in and tried to rob an apartment earlier this month.

Home security cameras at a Houston apartment complex captured the March 18 incident, KHOU-TV reports. In the videos, the suspects can be heard identifying themselves as HPD multiple times with their rifles and handguns drawn.

One of the gunmen broke down the door, and they rushed in. That's when the victim inside began shooting, not believing the men were police.

The suspects returned fire, and they ran out of the apartment. No one was stuck in the exchange, and no injuries were reported.

Police are asking the public for any information in connection with the incident.
