The Situation
When safety is paramount, an officer can focus on the task at hand and know their camera is on. The Body Worn Camera Auto-activation System ensures that should an officer have to draw his or her firearm, the camera will be on.
The Solution
Safariland® and VIEVU® have developed proprietary Camera Auto-activation System technology to automatically activate a VIEVU LE4 Body Worn Camera any time a firearm is drawn from a connected Safariland 7TS™ holster. An officer in a stressful or potentially life threatening situation no longer has to make the conscious decision about whether to first turn on the camera or draw a weapon. Upon activation, the camera’s pre-record function captures and records the 30 seconds of video prior to the drawing of the firearm and remains actively recording until the camera is manually turned off. The 7TS holster with Camera Auto-activation System can be used with any existing VIEVU LE4 Body Worn Camera.

Enabled with the Camera Auto-activation System the VIEVU® LE4 Body Worn Camera automatically turns on once the officer’s firearm is drawn from its Safariland 7TS™ duty holster.
• Once activated, the camera can be configured to include the last 30 seconds of buffered footage prior to activation and continues to record until manually turned off.

7TS™ Model 7360 ALS® Mid-Ride Level III Retention™ Duty Holster
The Safariland 7TS Series holster line offers excellent durability and structural integrity with its proprietary SafariSeven™ nylon blend.
