OPERATIONAL PLANNING COURSE

This course is designed for all sworn law enforcement officers. It will cover the essential skills needed to properly plan an operation to address a particular problem. Research skills, crime analysis, resource analysis, task analysis, command and control, operation planning, writing the operational order, operation implementation and after action debriefings will be covered. This course is highly recommended for detectives/investigators, traffic officers, tactical officers, and administrators tasked with planning security for events. This course will aid the student in planning operations such as: a holiday robbery task force operation, residential burglary operation, narcotics buyer takedown operation, VIP mobile security escort detail, county fair/event, etc.. There is no substitute for having a well thought out and written plan in place. This is a very hands-on, inter-active class with a lot of group activity.
