Law Enforcement Peer Support Training

In this course, you will learn how to serve as a peer counselor, conduct critical incident debriefings, and make appropriate referrals for those in need of professional intervention. We will teach you how to conduct a variety of critical incident and psychological debriefings, how to set-up and manage peer support programs, and how to identify strategies for reducing the effects of police stress on the family. Emphasis will be placed on both police suicide and drug and alcohol abuse.
