Vehicle Dynamics

Dynamics is the branch of mechanics that deals with the motion of bodies and the action of forces in producing or changing that motion. Vehicle Dynamics covers the dynamics relating to motor vehicle crashes. Topics covered include Newton's laws of motion, coefficient and drag factor, and speed estimates from irregular skid marks. This class also acquaints students with physics principles and equations that are used in Traffic Crash Reconstruction.
