Twelve Uniformed LEOs Finish Marine Corps Marathon

Dec. 1, 2017

Twelve LEO runners, representing five different states, finished the 2017 Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 22 in full uniform. The group, organized by Modesto, Calif. PD Detective Sean Dodge started and finished the race together. The group, known as Project Remember, raised funds that were divided between four separate nonprofits dedicated to assisting the families of fallen law enforcement: Answering the Call in Missouri, the Peace Officer Memorial Group of Stanislaus County in California, the California Peace Officer Memorial Foundation, and Concerns Of Police Survivors (COPS). "We are already in the process of planning a run in November 2018," says Dodge. For more information, check out Project Remember on Facebook.
