A Florida police officer was injured early Thursday in a head-on collision with a wrong-way driver that caused the officer's vehicle to flip over.
The incident happened as an Apopka police officer was traveling east on a roadway and transporting a 12-year-old girl, WESH-TV reports. A 22-year-old driver was traveling west and drifted into the other, hitting the cruiser head on.

The driver in the other vehicle also was rushed to the hospital and was in critical condition.
