Fla. Police Officer on Roadside Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash

A Florida police officer was injured when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver while investigating a previous crash last week.
West Palm Beach police were at the scene of a traffic incident at about 8:30 p.m. Friday, WPTV-TV reports. When an officer was getting into his cruiser, his vehicle was struck by an SUV.
The officer was knocked to the ground, and the SUV sped off. The officer was taken to the hospital, where he was treated and release.
Police are searching for the driver of the SUV.
