N.C. Police Cruisers Set on Fire, Completely Destroyed

Asheville police investigators and the Asheville Fire Marshal's Office are trying to determine who is responsible for setting fires to two unoccupied unmarked police patrol cars.

North Carolina police are searching for suspects in connection with the torching of two marked cruisers Monday.

According to the Asheville Police Department, firefighters responded to an early morning parking lot fire. Two unoccupied police cruisers had been set on fire, and the flames completely destroyed the vehicles.

Police investigators and the Asheville Fire Marshal's Office are trying to determine who started the fires. Anyone with information about the case should contact Asheville police at (828) 252-1110. Individuals also can send an anonymous tip using the TIP2APD smartphone app or by texting TIP2APD to 847411.
