Watch Woman in Stolen Cruiser Lead Calif. Deputies on 160 mph Chase
A woman is accused of stealing a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department cruiser and leading deputies on a high-speed chase that reached up to 160 mph Monday.
The incident happened at about 1:30 p.m. when a woman allegedly stole a parked sheriff's department cruiser in unincorporated Los Angeles County, KTTV-TV reports. That kicked off a chase as deputies pursued her from Compton to Orange County, hitting speeds of up to 160 mph.
Once the woman reached Anaheim, she almost was cornered in a dead end before reaching an industrial yard. Deputies finally used a PIT maneuver to stop the stolen vehicle and end the chase.
The woman was then taken into custody. No injuries were reported in the incident.
