Tenn. Police Cruiser Crashes into House with Woman, Child Inside

A Memphis Police Department patrol car lost control in Frayser and drove through two yards before barreling into a house with a woman and her 9-month-old child inside.

A Tennessee police cruiser crashed into a home with a woman and 9-month-old child inside Wednesday.

The crash involving a Memphis Police Department patrol car happened at about 2:30 p.m. in Frayser, WHBQ-TV reports. The vehicle lost control and drove through two yards before barreling into the side of a house

A woman and her child were in the house at the time of the crash. The woman was sitting in a chair by the window when it happened, and her child was in another room.

“When I was sitting in the chair, I heard a smack, and it was the wall collapsing,” she told WHBQ. “I could have lost my life. The officer could have lost his life.”

No injuries were reported in the incident.
