Video: Crowd Attacks, Vandalizes Md. Police Cruiser

A video from a witness captured a large crowd at a car meetup surrounding a Prince George's County police cruiser, kicking and vandalizing it.

An unruly and rowdy crowd attacked and vandalized a Maryland police cruiser at a weekend gathering.

The incident happened just after 11:30 p.m. Saturday at a car meetup in Laurel, WUSA-TV report. At least 100 cars and a large number of people were at the meetup.

Prince George's County police responded to the event, and an officer arrived at the scene to disperse the crowd. The first officer reached the scene and activated his lights and sirens but was surrounded by the crowd.

The mob then began to kick and vandalize the police vehicle. The patrol car was heavily damaged, but the officer was uninjured.

Once more officers arrived at the scene, they were able to break up the meetup. No one was arrested, and police are trying to identify the people who attacked the cruiser.
