Baltimore Police Officer Rushed to Shock Trauma Center after Crash

A Baltimore City police officer was responding to a call to assist other officers when another vehicle collided with his SUV patrol vehicle.

A Baltimore police officer was among four people injured in a collision with another vehicle Sunday.

The accident happened just before 11:25 a.m. as a Baltimore City Police Department officer was responding to a call to help other officers, WJZ-TV reports. That's when the officer's SUV patrol vehicle was struck by another vehicle.

The officer and three people in the other vehicle were taken to a shock trauma hospital. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The crash is currently under investigation.
