PHILADELPHIA -- Two Philadelphia police officers and a third individual were injured in a vehicle crash early Tuesday morning in North Philadelphia.
The crash occurred at approximately 4:15 a.m. near the intersection of North 20th Street and Cecil B. Moore Avenue, according to WCAU-TV.
Police said the two officers and one other person were transported to a hospital following the incident. Officials did not immediately release identifying information about the third individual.
Police have not yet said how the crash occurred or whether the officers were on duty at the time. No charges or citations were announced.
At the scene, a red Jeep SUV believed to be involved in the crash was towed away. A Philadelphia Police Department patrol vehicle with visible front-end damage remained at the roadside. A white SUV with significant front-end damage was also observed pushed onto the sidewalk near the intersection.
In a later update, officials said the injuries sustained by the officers and the third individual appeared to be minor. The crash remains under investigation.
