Michigan State Police Tweak Look to 'Iconic Bubble' Roof Lights
New emergency lights will start adorning the Michigan State Police's Chevrolet Tahoe PPV fleet over the next few weeks as a way to help increase visibility for additional officer safety.
The new look for the roof emergency lights on Michigan State Police's Chevrolet Tahoe PPV fleet.
Michigan State Police will be upgrading the emergency lights on some of its fleet, giving "a different look to our iconic bubble," the agency said.
Over the next few weeks, redesigned roof lights will be added to the state police's Chevrolet Tahoe PPV fleet, the department stated in a social media post. The new vehicle lights were adopted to help increase visibility for additional officer safety.
The improvements and new features include:
360-degree scene, front takedown, alley and reverse lighting that provides white lighting around the entire vehicle for increased visibility during incident management, investigations and search and recovery efforts.
360-degree warning light with reflectors that provide better off-angle coverage during traffic stops.
Additional visibility.
Synchronized flash patterns designed to increase officer safety during traffic stops, scene investigations.
