Two Georgia police officers escaped serious injury when their cruiser collided head-on with a pickup truck during a chase.
The Lawrenceville Police Department released dashboard camera footage of the scary crash, WSB-TV reports. The incident began when Georgia State Patrol tried to stop a pickup truck that had been reported stolen.
The driver fled troopers, who gave chase and were joined by Lawrenceville police officers. In the video, a cruiser is seen executing a PIT maneuver and sending the truck into a Lawrenceville police officer's vehicle.
The impact of the crash turned the Lawrenceville police vehicle on its side. The two officers inside the vehicle were injured in the collision and rushed to the hospital, where they were treated and released several hours later.
Police arrested the fleeing suspect, and he faces several flony charges.
