A Wisconsin police officer on patrol captured a fierce storm last week that included an EF3 tornado.

Fox Crossing Police Officer Scott Boehlen turned on his dashboard camera Thursday after pulling over to weather spot an oncoming storm, the department stated in a social media post that included the footage. At times during the video, heavy rainfall blocks out the cruiser's windshield, and high winds bent trees.

According to WBAY-TV, an EF3 tornado had touched down in the area, bringing torrential rains and 140 mph winds. The officer had been in the parking lot of Gegan Elementary School, which sustained severe damage in the storm.

"I don't think I comprehended at that point what was actually occurring and how severe it actually was at that point, because I can only see out my window," Boehlen told WLUK-TV. "Parts of trees that came flying by me that I don't know how I did not, first of all, myself or the car, gets struck by any of it."
