Buzzworthy: NYPD Officers Removes 15K Honey Bees from Tree

When a honey bee colony was discovered in a tree in Queens, an NYPD beekeeper suited up to extract the insects and even captured footage inside the colony.

NYPD officers removed 15,000 bees discovered in a tree over the weekend.

Police were called to Queens after a colony of bees was found in a tree Sunday, WCBS-TV reports. An NYPD beekeeper was able to remove the bees in the tree, and he used a fiber-optic camera to record footage of the inside of the colony.

The bees were relocated to a farm in northern New York. No injuries were reported fro the incident.
